....In my sightseeing travels, I went through a town in Nebraska, it was called Sane, nothing more than a truck stop diner on the junction of two highways. The diner was called, The Purple Pig, and had a giant pig held up by wires over the parking lot. The daily special was marked on a marque sign, but the broken letters made one wonder of the place, as it read, Roast Snout, and a cup of lave, which in fact was the best roast pork sandwich I had ever had. ( The Java wasn’t bad either...)
....In a field across the road was the classic Billboard of the Cowboy riding the Jack Rabbit, and directly below this over sized bunny was a rather large bulldozer. The colors of the billboard had faded terribly, and the sun that was suppose to be there had long since been cut away, leaving a dark hole where the wood showed through. While sitting down to lunch and coffee, I looked out and saw that billboard, and thought how fitting for the name of the place. And with much laughter from the waitress, I wrote this down.

....I must be insane, but it is a nice place to be. The sights are a true beauty, a place you must see.
....Where golden marshmallow trees, with bright bleeding blue leaves, spread spaciously over the deep red grass, and the furry little bunnies feed ravenously on the scaly yellow caterpillars.
....And as you watch carefully, as the bright black sun moves majestically through the jade green sky, you may be lucky enough to see the great purple winged pig, as it floats ponderously to the north, in it’s attempt to escape the blistering heat of the short winter nights.
....Ah yes, it’s great to be young and insane, especially in the spring, when the pretty gray weeds start to melt, dripping endlessly onto the burning ice , that cools the violet mud of the marshes.
....Ah yes, I must be insane, but it is a nice place to be… The roast snout is pleasant and the lava always hot. Ah yes, what a great place to be..

Good start. I think it could be expanded more to include more of the beautiful sights and how you felt about them. Best wishes with this piece.

Great ! wonderful humor!!

Humorous and fun to read. The punctuation is distracting, though; I think the piece would flow better without the ellipses (...)
