Ladder: I was conceived in the summer of 1953, the same summer Elizabeth 2 was crowned Queen.

Snake: My mother suffered a miscarriage following a farming accident when my father was pinned under an overturned tractor.

Ladder: Mother visits the Doctor because she is feeling unwell only to discover that she is still pregnant with me, and that she must have miscarried my twin.

Significant snakes: Near drowning, childhood illnesses and a more serious tricycle accident.

Bigger snakes: The loss of my grandfather, and grandmother.

Average ladder: Passed the eleven-plus examination for the Grammar School.

Ladders: Growing interest in English language and literature, particularly poetry, and music including the School Choir. Passed a good number of “O” level examinations.

Snake: Most of my friends left school at sixteen, whilst I continued further education.

Massive Ladder: New friends turned out to be Christians, invited me to their Church, and I gave my life to Christ.

Ladder plus. New Christian boyfriend, engagement and marriage just short of nineteen.

Snakes and ladders: Increasing involvement in Church, particularly Youth activities, but a much-wanted baby fails to arrive.

Ladder: Bible College and a return to Pastoral ministry in our home Church but I feel a snake coming on.

Huge snake: Betrayal and resulting marriage breakdown. Loss of identity as woman, wife and minister “Israel 1989”.

Significant ladders: New Church, new job and my own home “Behold I make all things new”.

Ladder: New husband and move to a new area.

Wonderful Ladder: Pregnancy, at last!

Bitter snake: Miscarriage: “The Lamb”

Nightmare snake: Mental breakdown: “All kinds of Prisons”

Small ladders: Christian Healing Centre, Music Group and new Church.

Ladder: Lay ministry training, with emphasis on Preaching, Pastoral and Poetry “The Plough”

Ladder: New job, working with adults with learning difficulties “In my element!”

Snakes/ Ladders? : Watch this space....ups and downs....but it will end with a ladder!

This was a clever way to show the "ups" and "downs" of your life. I'm thankful that you could end with a ladder.

Neat entry. Well-done on the realities of life. Yes, in the end, in Christ our life ends...a ladder to eternal glory.

A unique, game-related way to chronicle the ups and downs of life. I'm so glad that, no matter how many "snakes" there might be, through Christ it does--as you said--end with a "ladder". Thanks for sharing.

This is cleaver. I like the snakes and ladders. The snakes won't win if we keep one foot or hand on the ladder. Great job.

I'm not familiar with this game, so this piece was confusing until I read the comments.
I like the fact that this game will end with a ladder!
