Patience. We all crave it and seem to have little of it. How can we recognize it when it is being lived out? We receive glimpses of it through this acronym.

P is for participating in the Lordís plan for our life when we have no idea what it holds, but we know the Who holding it.

A is for anticipating the Lordís promises without knowing the time in which we will be able to completely enjoy them.

T is for trusting in the One Who loves us with full confidence that no matter what happens, He can work it all together for good to those who love Him.

I is for intending to make plans of our own, we instead surrender to our Heavenly Father who is able to weave His best plans into a fulfilled life for us.

E is for enduring through trials, temptations, and sufferings with assurance of the presence of the Lord even in those times when we feel abandoned.

N is for nestling under His wings as we are unaware of what the day has in store, but positive that He guides our paths as He knows and sees it all.

C is for cherishing every moment we have to serve the Lord even though we have not reaped the harvest of our faithfulness yet.

E is for enveloping our hearts into Godís love, so that we donít doubt His concern for us in all that we endure with Him continually at our side in our waiting.

May Your patience rain upon us, Lord, and be a rainbow to the lives around us to see.
