“I’s ain’t sho’ of where I is? They done took me way and I’s don’t kno’ where? Scared, I’s really scared. Where’s I goin’? Momma ‘n Daddy gonna be mad wit’ me ‘cause I ain’t comin’ home. I’s a sleepin’. Me head hurts. Peoples ‘round me. Me peoples, sleepin’ too. I’s fell a body on me, they’s cold. Oh, the smell is bad. Bad! They ain’t movin, they’s dead! I’s tried to git ‘way from ’em. I’s can’t move. I’s crying’. I’s kno’ I’s in trouble. Momma? Daddy? Somebody help me, please??? It stinks. The smell is killin’ me. Oh, oh, sup’in movin’ on me, sup’in wit’ hair ‘n claws. I’s feelin’ me skin bleedin’ ‘n comin’ apart. Screamin’, I’s screamin’: help me. Somebody, God help me. Ain’t nobody sayin’ nu’fin. Chained ‘n tied I’s can’t move. I’s can’t see ‘cause its dark in here. Sup’in be movin’ side to side, rockin’. Done been here long time now. I’s hungry! I’s thirsty! Where’s I gonin’? The rockin’ done stopped. The movin’ side to side done stopped. I’s back home? A light in my face ‘n somebody sayin’, “Git up. Move it, now.” Some my peoples didn’t git up. We’s made it; was pushed on the beach.
God where’s you? Help me git back home!
