A Mother’s Heart is a source of love,
Vibrating hope and encouragement,
Keeping life flowing in the hearts
Of those she loves.

An open heart whose rhythm beats
“I love you” over and over again
Without regard to time or circumstance,
Never tiring, never ready to stop caring.

A Mother’s Arms are a source of love,
Reaching out to support and nurture,
Keeping compassion alive in the spirit
Of those she loves.

Open arms, ready to embrace
All who run to her, seeking her love,
Outstretched, waiting to hug, to soothe, to inspire.
Showing strength that never weakens or grows weary.

A Mother’s mind is a source of love,
Sharing wisdom and lessons in life,
Keeping good judgment alive in the minds
Of those she loves.

An open mind that has gathered wisdom
Yearning to teach, overflowing with knowledge
Seeking to share her insight and understanding
Planting wisdom, showering it with love.

A Mother’s faith is a source of love,
Filling lives with the Word and Will of God,
Keeping Him alive in the souls
Of those she loves.

A faith that is an open invitation to know the Lord
Flourishing day by day, strengthened by God,
Beckoning to all to share His Love
And follow, in faith, as HE leads the way.

Beautiful poem about the qualities of an ideal mom.

I think I know this woman :D
You have described a good mother very well and certainly gave me something to work toward. These are very timely instructions about how to raise my own child. Thank you. This poem also reminds me of a few special people in my life. They sure look beautiful on your canvas.

Lovely! I liked the flow and the imagery here. My favorite was the second verse though. Very well done! ^_^

Some beautiful thoughts in this piece about Mothers; however, I miss the rhythmic beat that comes with rhymed poetry - (but that's only one person's point of view or opinion)...but it IS lovely.

What a beautiful image of a Christian mother this poem portrays. One we all hope to attain to I am sure. Very well done. Love you, Sharon
