Mother oh Mother how could you be so
I thought that you loved me even though
But alas all you saw was my sin
Instead of what God had placed within
Over and over I tried to say
Give me a chance another day
But my ways were annoying to you
Not good enough she’ll never do
I kept on trying to win that place
In your heart but it’s been erased
Years and years have wandered by
And you still try to make me cry
With the words you use to hurt
Even my children see the dirt
Your tidy ways and clean up look
Are not what God said in the book
Children given for Mother’s to share
God’s love for others and to care
Some have forgotten their first love
And yes God watches from above
Her child was dying, His life He gave
His mother waited she could not save
But she loved Him even more
He died for us opening the door
The door of forgiveness another chance
But for some it’s not their dance
Thank you for trying, you did your best
God knows our sorrow and the test
He will make all things right you know
Shine a light explain can’t wait to go.
