Don't let your past hinder you, for we have all made mistakes in life. But we have a God who has sent His Son to redeem us from our past life and even the mistakes that we make in our Christian walk. One cannot change the past but only the future, so don't look back. For when we look back we can't see the path that God has set before us and we remain stuck in the past. Allow those doors of the past to remain closed for God has opened yet another one and we have a choice to walk through it. Looking back only hinders, but looking forward gives hope. Even though we are surrounded by unpleasant circumstances, we must see our victory by faith. The enemy will try and flood our mind with past life, past mistakes, but God’s word says “when the enemy comes in like a flood, God raises up a standard against him”. We have the word of God to put in place of wrong thought patterns. Remember in biblical times when Lot's wife looked back after being set free, she turned into a pillar of salt, stuck in the same place and never moving forward.
