The dictionary says a Valentine is a sweetheart. As I thought about this
description, I asked myself, am I a sweetheart?
Do I have a sweet spirit in my home?
Am I sweet to my husband?
Am I sweet to my children, am I sweet to others?
I began to wonder what does the word sweet really mean?
The dictionary says, sweet is pleasing to the taste; and the Word of God says,
pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. (Proverbs 16:24 kjv)
Based on this scripture, and many others, I would be honest to say, I am
not always a sweetheart. As a woman, a wife, and a mother, it is very important
that I be the one to have the sweet spirit, the one whose words flow with
kindness. Words that give encouragement, words that offer hope,
and words that contain peace.
With my words alone, I can show myself to be a sweetheart; a real, genuine
Valentine! A woman easy to love, and worthy to be praised.
