What is Sunday school?
What is Sunday school? In my opinion, Sunday school is a place where you are taught about God and his holy word. A church that has a Sunday school geared towards the needs of different age groups has a strong and vibrant church life. A church such as that grows and fills the needs of a community and continues to influence the people in and out of the church. When there are visitors that come to one of the many different Sunday school classes, they go away feeling as if they have been blessed. In a church with a strong Sunday school, members are truly like family. You have a feeling of peace and acceptance.
I have been to many churches throughout my life and have been in a Sunday school that does not build up the church but tears it down. If a church does not have Sunday school, it lacks vitality necessary for the member’s growth and maturity in the teaching of Gods word. A church that does not have a strong Sunday school system in my opinion cannot succeed.
There will be backstabbing and gossip among the members and it is written, a house divided among its self cannot stand and that applies to churches as well.
I truly think a good Sunday school system adds a great deal to the success of a church. They have classes that start with the very young having planned curriculums to introduce children to the bible and Gods Holy word. If you start teaching children about the bible when they are small they will not depart from its teachings. If a child goes to a good Sunday school, they learn why it is important to obey not only God but their parents as well.
How important is it to have a good healthy Sunday school? When members of a church have a Sunday school of that caliber, they tend to take what they have learned out into the community. They willing help others and the community benefits from that kind of Sunday school.
