“Fellowship” (Among Believers)
What is fellowship? According to Webster’s Dictionary, it says companionship, company, membership, partnership, the state of being a fellow or associate, a company of equals or friends.
Fellowship among believers is so much more. It is so special, so unique and truly beautiful beyond description. Fellowship of that nature the world cannot know or comprehend. To the world, that kind of fellowship is foolishness. Satan would have us believe that we do not need others. We can be an island and be happy. How sad when we permit the father of lies to lead us astray and buy into the idea of self-sufficiency.
Fellowship among believers is one of the most wonderful and profound blessings we as children of God can have. It is so comforting to know that you can call upon other believers and talk to them. They accept you as a child of God faults and all. You can share your deepest, darkest secrets with each other and not feel your trust is going to be betrayed. You cry together, laugh together go places together and are happy and carefree. How wonderful it is to have fellowship with each other as God so ordained it. We are to walk in the light, as he is the light and have fellowship with one another. Fellow Christians help us grow in mind, body and spirit becoming more like Christ. Fellowship among believers is beyond description. I give God all the thanks, honor and glory for making such fellowship available to his children.
