Walk with me when I’m afraid, and never leave my side,
and wade before me through the seas of angry, pulling tide.
Climb the highest mountain peak and reach down for my hand,
then stride beside me all the way as I cross barren land.
Open all the deepest caves with brilliant amber light,
and crackle shimmering crystal ice with awe-inspiring might.
Fly me over every care with wings that sparkle gold,
then lay me on the jaden grass to rest there with your fold.
Dive with me through hues azure so deep, so calm, so dark,
and fill my lungs with purest breath, this journey we embark.
Lead me straight into the gusts that rage and waft and blow,
then wrap your arms tight ’bout me as fires scorch me with their glow.
Do fight with me, no, for me, as they gather and they meet,
and take Your golden gleaming sword and smite them at Your feet.
Make haste to come whene’r I call, because there’s no such hour,
that I won’t rail and cry, then stop, and wonder at Your power.
You’ve said You’ll never walk away, and that I only trust,
is all that’s needed to be Yours, but that one thing’s a must.
So lead me on, down every path I’ll follow only You,
and every word You ever say, I’ll count it to be true.
I’ll never fear or quake or doubt, I’ll be unflinching brave,
remembering the waters high, the crystal ice, the cave.
I’ll not forget the bluest sea, nor overlook the peak,
and absolutely never will another’s shield I seek.
So now, the end of everything, when all is come to cease,
together we have overcome the fire, the ice, the beast.
So many of us gather now for comfort and for rest,
and laugh and sing and dance and celebrate our fearlessness.
