You can hear the birds singing a sweet morning song~

Sun beating down on the island all wrong~

It's winter here but the temps still 80 degrees~

The only thing blowing is the soft island breeze~

Bermuda is lovely at this time each year~

Despite the warm winds, there is Holiday cheer~

Christmas is only two weeks away~

Shoppers are rushing around all the day-

You can hear ocean waves crash against limestone sands-

Beckoning tourists to come explore their lands-

Hints of hybiscus circum every inch-

Reminding us gently that loves in our cinch-

Holding hands and walking real slow-

Helps pass everyday in this place without snow.

This article reminds me of my Christmas in Hawaii. Very easy read. Crisp and to the point. Like it - very well done.
Keep writing and I will keep reading. P.K.

You made me wish I was in Bermuda. This was short and sweet. Thanks for sharing it.

agree with Pekola. You find yourself shopping for a Christmas swim suit. Good piece.

Holly, we aren't quite in such a paradise, but as an Aussie, I did relate to the hot summer Christmas. Fun entry, but unfortunately, coming in at just 109 words, it was under the minimum word count allowed for Challenge entries and had to be disqualified. I'm so sorry. Don't feel bad about it, as there are always several members who miss the guidelines about word count every week. I hope you'll enter many times more, but just keep the word count limits in mind when you do - it's 150 words minimum and 750 words maximum. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
