Devoted Damsel in Distress
Up in this high tower; I look as far at the eye can see;
I watch the wonder of God痴 beauty, glorious it can be.
I watch the fragrant flowers, and the buzzing bees;
I watch the birds flying, from the ground to the trees.
I offer up my devotion, to the Lord my awesome God;
Even when I am trapped here, unable to feel the sod.
I watch the morning sun rise, I watch the sun as it sets,
I have not caught sight of, any shining armor as of yet.
Trapped here in this prison, the walls are hard and cold;
I wonder if I値l be here waiting, until I am grey and old.
I will be patient knowing that, he will find me soon;
My prince will come to take me, into his bridal room.
I値l try to find the beauty, in these cold and rocky walls
And offer up my devotion, until he climbs this tower tall.
God has placed me in this castle, I値l just watch and I値l wait
For Him to come swiftly riding, through that pearly gate.
He will come to my rescue, this damsel in distress;
And when I知 in His mansion, I値l wear the whitest dress.
For now I will sit and wait, I値l watch the horizon over there;
For my shining Prince, riding on a white stallion in the air! >
