I searched the bible at http://www.studylight.org for the word *thanksgiving* to get some inspiration for a poem for this week's topic of *Thanksgiving*. I read Psalm 50:14, 2 Corinthians 9:11, Philippians 4:6 and Colossians 4:2 which inspired the following poem called “Thanks Giving”:
Thanks Giving
Every day to God I am thanks giving
For all my blessings, riches, and liberality
For breathing, waking, and living
Every day to God I am thanks giving
For being a lenient Judge
For being forgiving
Every day to God I am thanks giving
Prayer giving,
Worship giving,
Honor giving,
Obedience giving,
Vow giving,
Supplication giving
Forevermore
Into God everything I pour
Psalm 50:14: Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and pay your vows to the Most High
2 Corinthians 9:11: You will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God
Philippians 4:6: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Colossians 4:2: Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.
