I can walk down the street
See children playing
The small store on the corner
The Family Market they call it
Where the owner spends his day
To make a simple living
It’s a simple life around here
But problems do arise on occasion
Yet, that’s life
I formulate equations
In my mind all the time
No, not math-but life
I wonder, where am I going?
Am I going alone?
Yari, I’ve no desire to be alone
But that part of the equation has not
Come to bear fruit
Yari, you’d fit well
In my equation
But you’re currently in his
And I can’t say I know
Just what to do
A woman like you
Is so hard to find
(Not that I was looking)
And I reckon it’s my fault
I should have been honest with you
A long while back
But I had no idea
Just what I was missing out on
I must say that the world still goes round
And the wolves at the moon
But as for me
I’ll ponder why I failed
I have but one desire
And that is to be equally yoked
With a God-fearing woman
And good woman like you
Your one to ride the trails with
