Ruby Day
To awake at dawn
With the call of a bird,
From where we lay
It could be heard.
Cards now stand
For all to see
Beside the flowers
That you sent to me.
A game of bowls
Walks in the park
To see the wild life
Before it gets dark.
A cake to be cut
With you by my side
The family is here
With love that cant hide.
A meal for two
Plus thirteen more.
A whirl of a dance
Round the pavilion floor.
Its time to remember
We were bride and groom
Forty years ago
In the month of June.
