Chorus:

What a friend we have in Jesus.
He takes me fishing every day.
As we go we chat about it,
Wonder who’ll be in the Way?

Will it be a single mother,
Left forlorn and all alone
With her child who has no father?
There is One who throws no stone.

Chorus

Will it be a child forsaken,
Left to grow up on his own,
Struggling for a precious breadcrumb.
Take that child to his new home.

Chorus

Shall we find a youth departed
Into a world of smack and ice?
He now has a loving Father
Who already paid the price.

Chorus

What about the crazed atheist
In a warzone facing death,
Who cries “Oh God, if there is one…”
I need you to give me breath.

Chorus

What of children in the classroom
Able to believe in God,
Needing someone to instruct them?
We can light the narrow road.

Chorus

Jesus’ favourite task is fishing.
He’s recruiting boatmen now.
Will you jump on board and rig up.
Walking on water is the go!

I liked your song. Maybe I'll here in church someday.
