At times I know you feel as though
You walk alone in this cruel world...
That life will never be as simple
As when you were a girl...
But know that I am here with you,
To walk right by your side...
To lift you up - and dry your tears...
Or to simply let you cry.
Your friends are what I've given you
To ease your heavy load...
To give you peace and laughter
As we walk this rocky road.
You may not fully understand
The trials that I might I bring,
But in your heart, I hope you know
Once again, your soul shall sing.
It may not be tomorrow
But it will be one day...
Until then, please find solace
In the friends who come your way.
I've set them there beside you
To help you to go on,
So you will never have to feel
That you walk this world alone.
