but it varies day by day
sometimes the melody is light
sometimes its filled with pain.
Some song I sing you could just dance
right along with me
though other times, I hurt so much
I can hardly see.
Sometimes the song sounds like a cry
of a broken heart
but its filled with longing for you
and thats where a song must start.
My melody is always sincere
and I pray you hear my voice
I praise you that You love me Lord
I know You had a choice.
So I will sing a song to you
and no matter how I feel
I will praise You, loud and clear
because I know Your love is real.
I know that in Heaven You stand
and listen to this song
and whether I sing good or bad
Praising You is never wrong.
it sounds like lovely music
and so sweet to Your ears
You understand each word
and the words move You to tears.
You do not ask for much of us
just that we will bring
a melody of praise and love
a holy offering.
