Pondering, contemplating
void and empty spaces,
with a plan to change, reform.
He hovers, speaking,
injecting sound.
Darkness succumbs to light.
Days times seven released;
it is good.
Companionship is born in the garden;
manifesting a longing, birthing a promise.
Woven lies and deceit perpetrate,
leaving fallen grace with fig leaves adorning.
Where art thou?
Sound is mute.
Oh, to be forsaken Eden.
Death and sin encroaches.
First blood
is shed.
Companionship is broken in the garden,
calling for a new promise.
Offering rejected.
Spilt blood crying.
Banishment gives way to multiplication;
meanwhile man plunges into ruin,
then
one pleases, privileged to build an
ark of deliverance.
Floods come and a dove flies,
Companionship is rewarded outside the garden,
waiting for the promise.
Towers built,
languages muddle, people scatter;
then,
a covenant is instituted.
Promises of sand and stars are given
as faith produces from a womb reborn,
a child of sacrifice,
a son of promise
tested in faith as thickets
reveal
a ram captured.
Glory glimpses through.
Companionship intervenes outside the garden,
waiting for the promise.
Isaac, and Jacob prevail
then,
a child is saved, raised in royalty.
Murder and banishment escort dignity.
Arrogance shatters,
bowing
before a burning bush
and mountains speaking.
A deliverer comes
out of bondage
through swelling seas.
Companionship of intimacy makes a way,
waiting for the promise.
In Jericho
hangs a scarlet thread
of promised restoration
in a painful garden
where blood sweats
tears
birthed in humility.
Companionship longing, groaning for the day,
waiting for the promise
A people clamor
and a man is chosen
for an earthly throne;
then,
a king anointed loses his way.
Covenant is broken, pride infringes.
Companionship disregarded leads to death,
neglecting the promise.
A new king, after His heart
is now enthroned;
then,
with enemies defeated,
lineage kept, the plan continues.
God’s house is built.
Prophets proclaim
a broken lamb to come.
Companionship restored is the goal,
waiting for the promise.
Zechariah speaks
revelations,
declaring times
and days ahead,
a coming king of deliverance,
a shepherd Savior;
then,
Romans rule.
Companionship so close, is whispering-soon,
waiting for the promise.
A virgin hears
with heart pondering,
embracing,
conceiving,
birthing,
protecting,
hiding.
Companionship is now birthed
from the womb of promise.
Wisdom comes astounding.
A child teaching
perfect, sinless,
patiently waiting,
comes of age;
then,
He joins a wedding feast.
A new beginning
as water
turns
to wine.
Companionship restoring, new life pouring
from the womb of promise.
His mouth of wisdom speaks
revelatory truth;
then,
the lame walk,
the bind see,
the dead are raised
while scorn
births
betrayal.
Companionship is bruised while His enemies
laugh,
mocking the promise.
Darkness intrudes,
stifling the light
as blood pours
and pain walks brutal.
Blows slash deadly.
Penetrating nails cry,
“Forsaken!”
Love
lies
bleeding.
Companionship briefly obscured by a cross,
agonizing over the promise.
The earth quaked.
The dead walked as night loomed ominous,
waiting for the light.
A tomb, by stone encapsulated,
with soldiers guarding,
women weeping, now conquered.
Succumbing.
Radiant glory penetrated.
Keys taken.
Hell, death, and the grave’s
sting defeated;
surrendered
to
RED...
Companionship is reinstated.
Plan administered
Promise restored.
Garden redeemed.
Resurrection-
then,
eternal
