“Writing.”
“What are you writing about?”
“Spring.”
“Spring? As in the season?”
“Yes.”
“But it’s December.”
“I know.”
“Why would you write about spring during December?”
“Not sure.”
“So what are you going to say?”
“Don’t know.”
“You’re stuck?”
“Yes.”
“Why don’t you write about how Jesus’ love springs eternal?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Why not?”
“Not really deep enough.”
“Deep enough, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“So, you’re afraid it won’t wow anyone?”
“I guess you could say that.”
“Let me guess this straight.”
“Okay.”
“You’re afraid that no one will want to read about Jesus’ love because it’s not profound.”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Seems to me you did.”
“Well, I didn’t mean that.”
“Funny how sometimes what we say is not what we mean.”
“Now that was profound.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
“So, you do believe that His love is profound?”
“Most definitely.”
“Then why don’t you just say so?”
“I suppose you’re right. Hey, maybe you should be the one doing the writing.”
“No way.”
“Why not?”
“I wouldn’t know what to say.”

There were lots of quotation marks here; I wonder if it would be easier on the eyes if you eliminated them, put spaces between each speaker, and put one person in italics and one in regular print?
Fun to read, though. Very real.
