Topic: Husband and Wife (08/08/14)
THE GIFT
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.
(Proverbs 19:14 NIV)

One of the greatest gifts that are given to a man by God is a wife. All these earthly things can be acquired through our efforts and God’s mercy but a wife is not acquired through any of a man’s effort. In the beginning God made a woman through a man’s ribs and before we exist in this world, God already prepared everything for us including our partner in life. Lucky are those men who wait for God’s signal telling that “She’s the one for you”, because he gets the imperfect woman that God prepared for him to make them perfect together with God.
I truly admired those men who dedicate their life for their future wife and even though they didn’t have a glimpse of that woman yet, they stayed loyal until God send him to her. Because they believed that God will lead them to the woman that God prepared for them and have a bright future with the guidance of God.
When God leads the man to the woman God’s prepared for him, all things seems a fairytale and you can really say that “She’s the one” because all the people around you agrees in your relationship and see you together as a blessing from God. Both of you can really say that God is really great because even though the two of you is imperfect yet everything seems perfect and the peace and love is everywhere in your relationship. As Christians trials are everywhere but together your trials will be a great testimony on how God makes an imperfect couple a perfect blessing to other people.
As one of the Pastors told me that a wonderful gift is worth the entire wait because the gift is so heavy that the angel had a hard time to send that gift to you. Waiting is not being an idle act but waiting is a sign of our faith in God and that we let His will be done in our life and God never made a mistake in His plan in our life. He always prepared a great gift for all of us.

There are lot of great thoughts in your article. You did an excellent job. My one bit of advice is to spend a little more time editing....but that is something I struggle with too.

These are good thoughts though rarely carried out because of the current dating practices seen in the USA.

It is not only the man who should be waiting but the woman also. She can't be the right woman for the wrong man.

This was well written and easy to follow.

This is an interesting devotion. I liked how how shared some of your opinions to show your message. For me personally, the sudden change of voice from third person to second person was a bit jolting and sometimes to some people that switch can come off as too preachy. Overall, you did a nice job of writing on topic. The ending was a strong message that brought the devotion full circle. You seem to have a passion for sharing God's word, I'd urge you to consider submitting some devotions to FW daily devotions.
