Gail Baumbayer was a piece of work. She was as sweet as honey to a person's face, but the minute their back was turned, out came a set of talons that would put a bald eagle to shame.
Jackie felt her blood rise to the boiling point.
Gail was huddled up with two of Jackie's employees for the second time this week, all of them laughing about something. Trouble was brewing…
Most people knew that Gail's biggest goal in life was to climb the corporate ladder and she would do anything, ANYTHING, including throwing Jackie under the bus, to meet that goal.
Jackie was so sick of the fact that Gail used and manipulated younger employees for her own benefit. She had seen her deploy these same tactics numerous times over the years with the same result. Gail moved up a step on the corporate ladder while leaving those that she had used scattered in her wake.
Something had to be done! Someone had to take a stand against her even if it was at a personal cost.
Jackie began to weigh her options. Should she allow her human desires to factor into how to handle this situation or not? For just a moment, she allowed the little devil sitting on her left shoulder to kick the little angel sitting on her right shoulder off his perch. As he toppled to the ground, Jackie imagined Gail holding a red flag to her side much in the same fashion as a matador would do. Jackie became the snarling angry bull charging full speed ahead toward her target. The red flag continued to waive, but it didn't matter. The bull had locked her focus on Gail's lower abdomen.
Charging ahead, Jackie The Bull made contact flipping Gail high into the air. As if in slow motion, Gail was suspended in the air for a moment before she began her comical assent to the ground. She landed with a heavy thud, hair askew and glasses dangling from one ear.
Suppressing a giggle and repenting for her absurd and sinful thoughts, Jackie helped her little angel up from the ground. While dusting himself off and climbing back up to his perch, he shot Jackie a reprimanding look.
I know, I know. I can quote it without you preaching to me. Romans 12:19: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
Jackie walked into the privacy of her office and shut the door. In order to do what was right in the eyes of God, she needed His help. "Dear God", Jackie began…
