`The earth is the Lord’s; my car is the Lord’s.Thank you Lord that my car works and gets me to my job today’.
It is thirteen years old, has a brown metallic body and four wheels; that’s what I know about it. It is mine and the man in the garage lubes and oils it. My husband tinkers with the knobs and pours liquid into it. Each day as I turn the key, I look at the gas gauge and listen for the `hum’ as it starts.
One day last month the `hum’ failed at busy traffic lights!
I prayed…..I called on Jesus Name….. He heard me.
A kind female cop turned up within seconds and stopped behind the car. Her car protected us and stopped the oncoming traffic from running into us. I thanked her and I praised the Lord loudly.
My husband raised the hood of the car and twiddled with `something’. The hum came back after about three minutes.
Now we have a new battery and terminals and we are on the road again.
At an internal `soul’ level I vividly remember the times that I felt as though my hum had failed. Still and for always I trusted in my Abba Father.
If I wake up in the morning feeling as though my `hum’ is gone, maybe it's because my `battery’ needs recharging. For me it is invaluable to daily spend time with the Lord by meditating on Him, on His Words and promises, and listen to His Voice. His Holy Spirit gives me my personal `hum’, then the world, my spirit, my soul and body seem to be in alignment again. He protects and keeps me.
I claim the promises of Psalm 121. “My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth” [Psalm 121:2]

Be careful with ellipses. They are meant to show a pause or a trail off with a thought. Try not to overuse them as it can reduce the effectiveness of them. Also they are always just three dots or three dots and a period. Different references have different opinions on the spacing.
I think you did a great job of covering the topic. It was fresh and an original take on hum. I would think a humming car might be a bad thing, but I really liked your observations and it made me totally rethink my original thoughts which is a great thing for a story to do. It reminded me that I need to focus more on the positive things in life. You did a grand job on his.
