Toy trains, crashing cars, a frog, many bugs.
Toddling feet growing more every day,
Drippy nose, worms with dirt, rough housing play.
Fishing and camping and learning a sport,
Scraped knees dripping blood, knocks on the court.
Learning to drive, his first date, and first kiss.
Prom and then college, the future is his.
Parties and football, late nights with friends,
Drafted to service, real life now begins.
Overseas travels, a war sent to fight,
His soul drips with pride, he fought for the right.
A car, and a job, many friends and a house,
Strong, loving hands hold his dear spouse.
Sweat drips from his brow, working hard every day,
The joy that he feels to watch his kids play.
Says goodbye to his wife, eyes drip, flow with tears,
Time passed so quickly, many memories so dear.
Hands wrinkled with ages of work, love, and pain,
If he could do it all over, he'd do it the same.
