Seems to get worse in every way.
Natural disasters abound.
Politics goes from bad to worse.
Everyone has a grudge to nurse.
Cancer and illness cause dismay.
Perhaps you are tempted to say,
Let me check out this very day.
Job wished he had never been born.
God's plan showed a glorious morn.
Elijah requested check-out,
When Jezebel caused him to doubt.
Jonah was angry, in the sun.
Wanted to check-out, he was done.
For check-out Paul was eager too,
Priority, God's will to do.
The Lord is in control, you see,
Of check-out time for you and me.
He promises to hold our hand
In all that happens in our land.
So trust in Him, all will be well.
His story now we all should tell.
It's true, we must never forget,
God's plan for us is the best yet.

You could smooth this out a bit by having a more consistent rhyme scheme, and by not ending each line with punctuation.
Good way to use the topic word.
