Against all odds, and an unrelenting barrage, never once thought about taking cover.
Feet carried him strong against many of storms, persevered for the love in his heart.
Solid ground slowly crumbles over time and he stumbles as life begins to fall apart.
Unravels so quick as the sands fiercely shift under feet toting weight they can't bear.
A life out of control wars over a soul sinking deep into worldly despair.
He hears "let the boy go" while slipping below like a whisper but no one's around.
Sinks so far he chokes, pain dousing hope as pride joins shame in keeping him down.
The voice again so clear, "I've got him from here, he's not yours ... he belongs to me".
"Is it you God?" he shouts in a tone full of doubt, "send a sign offering clarity".
Time isn't a waste as the storm dissipates; a burden turns fast into rest.
The truth is now seen as peace intervenes revealing to him a new quest.
A life now renewed, vision shows newer hues, unsure what he needs to do next.
Unconditionally love like the Father above, every opportunity that he gets.
He with sight’s loss, pain is often the cost, discerning is tough for the blind.
As each circumstance births to us a new chance to grow closer if he sees the signs.
A lesson is learned as self overturns, giving way to control of the reigns.
Knowledge fulfilled, wisdom’s well overspills watering seeds of loss to grow gain.

I very much enjoyed the ending which shows that God uses pain to help us to grow.
Great job!
