Topic: Hard and Soft (04/23/09)
Tears fall down my face……pain permeates my soul…..memories of rejection leap like flames in my being. My whole existence is challenged. Why did you create me? What is my purpose in this? How can this bring you glory?

My heart is hard…… I want to close doors on those who have hurt me…….. I want to hide from those I have hurt…..I am my mother’s daughter.

I seek counsel from the wise…… I wait on you…….I yearn to be right in your eyes……I know only you can change my heart, and open my eyes…..I begin to pray.

A scream of deep anguish escapes the suffocating darkness……..the enemy flees in fear…….chains fall to the ground…….I, the captive have been set free…….cycles have been broken………I will not burn bridges, I will not run, I will love those around me as you have loved me……my heart is soft……I am my father’s daughter……the daughter of a king.

Isaiah 54: 16-17

I like the way you do this: not telling the whole story, but leaving it open for anyone who has felt like that to insert the details. I especially like your ending sentence. Beautiful!
