Try convincing an old country girl, that has never been out of the country, and one that nobody can drag the country out of, to pull up from the recesses of her deepest and wildest imaginations a great and wondrous, award winning challenge article, which she will post on faithwriters for all the internet world to see. "Beginner (I'm still waiting for the diaper to change) stage, at that!"
I am praying all the while, for God to miraculously blind you to the fact that I have been beating my head on a brick wall, and someone will critique my no nonsense article with, "that's very clever" or "how imaginative."
"Guess what?" I said magnificently, with a huge grin, "I'm actually being educated in a unique and blessed way in this forum."
I'm hoping that I can rise above the challenge, and tell all of you wonderfully inspired writer's and reader's what a great work you are doing. "If you can make a decent story out of 'Passport' you are a golden achiever in my book"

First attempt: (a friend and co-writer made at faithwriter's is trying to help me with first person.)
"passport, passport, passport" the old man with the brown suit said repeatedly. I slowly took a seat on an old crate, sitting next to the barrel of brightly burning litter. "How long will the warmth and camaraderie last on this cruise?" I sniffled and coughed.
I had a little mad dog left, and I raised the bottle up as if in a small toast, winked at the old man, and sucked it dry. Even the smell of it was warm, from the first trickle that seeped into my empty stomach to the last drop in my itchy throat. I took a drag from the treasured cigarette butte, and blew the deadly carbon colored fog into the chill of the night.
"passport, passport, passport" the old man with the brown suit muttered, digging through the dumpster, and the garbage, lifting up scattered trash. He looked as old and worn as dirt itself.
"Hey, ole man, whadaya need a passport for? Ya ain't goin nowhere are ya?" I chuckled, even though it wasn't all that funny. It was the best I could do.

Second attempt: (by the way, "I got this journal idea from writer's of the prior challenge topic!")
Marsha had lived in a compound most of her life. Actually, it was the most peaceful place on earth. She didn't know every one that lived there, it was so huge and inviting. Sometimes people came and went at will.
She didn't have to be here either. It was that personal freedom that she loved, and the warmth of fellowship with God throughout the whole scenic overview of this beautiful place.
There was a huge nuclear type plant, that took care of all their power needs. A large enlongated grayish building where they held church services regularly. "It was large enough to hold a million people, maybe more," she thought.
"No, way...!" said Marsha perturbed, "YOU are definitely grasping at straws here!!"

Third and final attempt: (I had this awesome idea, that Joseph had three dreams, and every thing worked out so nicely for him...so Let us pray, Father, thank you for giving us the courage to do our best against all odds. We praise your Mighty and Holy name Jesus, for offering all the world a free passport into your Kingdom, and no matter what comes out of our lives and written word, YOU will be glorified in all. amen")
