Pastor Todd, of Bethany Baptist Church, and Ed planned their trip to Angola, Africa to build a church. Pastor Todd was a new pastor, a short man with dark brown hair in his twenties. This would not only be his first mission trip, but he never built anything before.

Ed, was a muscular man with a beard in his forties. He has been in the carpenter's union for seventeen years. Because of his experience he would take a lead role in building church. Both men decided they needed to sit down to talk about the trip, and would decide if they would need any tools from the church.

This project would be done in stages. Bethany's role would be to build the exterior and shingle the roof and paint the outside. There would be other churches that would finish the job.

They both sat in the pastors office at his desk..

You could see Ed's eyes going up and down the note pad, "The building materials like the wood, paint, nails, shingles and siding are going to be on site. The church will be the size of a average one bedroom apartment. A concrete slab which is the floor is done. We will start with the frames for the walls. Followed by the frame for the roof. Then we will board the out side walls and the roof. After that we shingle the roof and put the siding on. Last but not least we will paint."

The pastor had a suprised look on his face, “Wow! Will we be able to do that in two weeks?"

"The 50 people coming with us will be plenty of help," said Ed.

Todd looked straight into his eye's and asked, "Do people need to bring tools?"

"I would tell them to bring a hammer, a paint brush and roller and some muscles," said Ed as he grinned.

"How should they pack their tools, because it could be hard for people to get them on a plane?" asked pastor Todd.

"They may want to bring a separate suitcase. It will definitely be checked bag, because they will not be able to bring it as a carry on," said Ed.

Ed got this serious look that was on his face, "I have concerns about the weather? What should people wear?"

"I checked into that, and people should wear comfortable summer clothing. The temperatures this time of the year are in the nineties," said Todd.

Ed looked down at his notes for a second, "Is there going to be water provided?"

"There will be plenty of water that will be provided by our missionaries in Angola," said Todd.

"Cool," said as Ed smiled.

Todd, realizing that the meeting was essentially over, "I will send out a e-mail informing people of what they need to bring. I know this will be a learning experience for me. I am grateful for your help, Ed. I don't know what I would do without you."

The two men prayed and it turned out to be a very successful trip.

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field," Luke 10:2
