Wouldn't it be a blessing if more of our judicial system worked this way and offenders were truly redeemed. Great job with characterization.

Well-written. The only suggestion I have would have been to put a note at the bottom translating the title. I liked the idea of mercy and redemption here.
Dear friends, roughly translated, Misericordia para el redimible means Mercy for the redeemable one and pobrecillo perdido means lost soul. :) My word count was maxed out.
