“The way he works
The way he walks
The way he kisses and hugs
The way he laughs
The way he sleeps
The way he looks at the sun
The way he sings
The way he plays
The way he is”
I was pretty amazed at how succinctly she described her Daddy, since she’s our little chatterbox. Not only did she describe him almost perfectly, she did a pretty good job of describing our Heavenly Father as well.
Daddy works 6 days to provide our needs.
God worked 6 days to provide us everything we need.
Daddy walks and holds her hand to guide her.
God walks with us through His Holy Sprit to guide us.
Daddy gives her kisses and hugs every chance he gets.
God gives us kisses and hugs through sunshine and rainbows.
Daddy lets her tickle him till he laughs –then he tickles her back.
God gives us a sense of humor so we can laugh at ourselves
Daddy snuggles up on the couch to nap with her, making her feel safe.
God does not sleep, but He watches over us while we sleep, making us feel safe.
Daddy may look at the sun on nice days, more importantly; he looks to the Son, giving her an example.
God gave us His Son so we might look to Him for our salvation
Daddy loves to sing praises to God, and an occasional silly song.
God gave us music so we might praise Him in song.
Daddy plays with her to help her learn to explore her mind.
God gave us a wonderful world to explore and enjoy.
She loves her Daddy because he’s hers.
We love God because He is love.
“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Eph 6:4 (KJV)
