It’s my favourite place, you know: where I can really feel at home. I feel free to talk – to share an opinion and know that I am loved. There are others who speak very negatively of it, but not me. There is so much fun to be had, so many interesting friends.
Why, there’s Gary. You’ve just got to know Gary. He is such a witness for the Lord. Works in a local grocer and the people just line up to be served by him. Just to hear him say, “Jesus loves you.” You would think they would avoid him as some religious nut but they don’t.
Then there is Sid. Good old Sid Gee. He got saved at eighty years old. The next day he has a sign on his unit window, “Free Christian counselling here!” All he could tell them was what Jesus had done for him and how much of a fool he felt for waiting for so long. Some counsellor, huh?
Santie, Santie Maggio. She is such a saint. Hosts the home cell group we meet with on Wednesdays. I tell you, you want a visit to an orphanage organised, or a picnic; just speak to Santie. She’ll have it done in a jiffy.
Monica loves to pray. We tried to tell her just to say short prayers to give others a chance. She did but if there’s silence for more than thirty seconds she starts up again.
These are just some of the people there and there is so much you can do. There’s music and dance, debate and proclamation, helping and caring. If you can’t find anything to do you mustn’t be looking very hard. People just appreciate each other so much it kind of draws it out of you. You want to get involved.
So much happens too. People’s lives are changed. I’ve known sick folk to get healed and sad folk find happiness you couldn’t explain. It’s so lively there. There is a presence you won’t find anywhere else.
So, where is it, man? Are you going to tell me?
Yes, it’s the Church and it’s my true home.

Some of the sentences are a little awkward because of the punctuation. A quick refresher on commas, colons and semi-colons will help with that.
An easy, fun read!
