What are you harboring in your heart?
Take a look around what do you see
an outward expression
of an internal me
Stop and learn to listen
just what is it that you hear
the call of God's promises
that seem so far but yet so near
How can you answer a call
if you've only deceived your heart to believe
That you have given God your all
And don't trust Him enough to open up and receive
Are you listening?
All the blessings of Abraham
That could be yours today
choose between a blessing or a curse
Do it your way or God's way
God is a good God
surely He'll let you choose
So be wise and obedient
otherwise you will lose
Are you listening?
The promised land is buried inside of you
Just waiting to be set free
A land flowing with milk and honey
A land filled with serenity
God has delivered you from your enemies
yet they still hold your heart captive
They whisper projections of defeat in your ear
That has allowed you to become inactive
Get up and walk! Take back what the enemy stole
Get up and do it now only you can be you
because God broke the mold
What's for you is for you
No man can take it away
Don't be afraid God will show you the way
Even though they are giants who has possessed
and stole your land
you are a child of the Most high God
against Him who can stand?
Today He wants you to know
that He has heard your cry
No!.. you are not alone
You are the apple of His eye
You plus God make the majority
Are you Ready?

Try to avoid using familiar phrases (like "you are the apple of his eye"). People tend to gloss over the familiar, but their eyes are drawn to interesting, new word combinations.
Thanks for this heartfelt poem!
