But God had heard their prayers and counted their tears. And now it was time. For no longer could the outraged earth bear to harbour the bones of the innocents.
Freak waves pounded and battered the coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, doing untold damage. Bridges and roads were swept away. Buildings and beach homes were flooded and destroyed and trees were uprooted and tossed carelessly aside. Until, with a final groan, the earth gave up the bones.

It began with the sudden disappearance of a young schoolgirl. Over the next year another five young girls mysteriously vanished, seemingly into thin air. In each case massive searches were launched but to no avail. Every time baffled police came up empty-handed. None of the girls were ever seen or heard from again. Their tragic faces gazed imploringly from newspapers, magazines, milk cartons and billboards. Find us, they begged. Please, please find us.
And all God’s people prayed. Prayed that the perpetrator of these vile acts would be caught and stopped. Prayed that the girls would be found alive and unharmed. Prayed that they were dead, for surely it is better to be dead in the Hands of God than alive in the hands of the devil?
South Africa’s most notorious paedophile struck once more and was stopped by the Hand of God. Enough! No more will you prey upon My children in order to satisfy you own perverted desires. And all of Heaven cried out: Oh woe to you, you paedophiles and rapists. Do you not know what God had said?
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matt 18:6 New King James Version.)
The last victim was offered a lift to school by a large boned woman with blonde hair. As she had missed her bus, she accepted gratefully. But she was never taken to school. Instead she was delivered into the hands of the evil man whose face would soon be splashed across every newspaper in the country. The man responsible for the disappearance of six girls.
Looking into his eyes, the young girl recoiled in terror as she found herself gazing into the very pit of hell itself. She was sexually assaulted, drugged, tied up and locked in a cupboard. But God was with her that morning, for somehow she managed to loosen the bonds which tied her hands and feet. Somehow she managed to exit the locked cupboard. Somehow she managed to stumble drugged and naked out of the house. Somehow she managed to escape.
Pursued by the blonde woman, she ran out into the road and flagged down a passing car. Taking one look at the terrified eyes of the naked, trembling girl, the young man brushed aside the woman’s protestations that this was her daughter.
The evil couple quickly fled the house of horror. In order to elude capture, the man shot the woman and then turned the gun onto himself, taking the secret of what happened to the girls with him to the grave.

Are the bones uncovered by the recent storms really those of the missing girls? Evidence seems to strongly suggest that they are. I would like to believe that the mystery has finally been solved and the families will now have closure on those terrible events all those years ago. But only time and DNA testing will tell.
In the meantime abominations against children continue across the world. Even now, as you read this, somewhere, some child is being abused, raped, starved or having who knows what unspeakable atrocities committed against their helpless bodies.
So pray for that nameless, faceless child. Pray for protection of the innocents and commit them into the loving hand of our Heavenly Father.
Praise God that the days of evil are numbered.
