Thats only fair, because them little rugrats sleep less an' travel faster than you would ever believe. So while one parent is giving chase, the other can catch some zzz's, see? Or maybe strategize ahead to see what the dear little pumpkin is going to try to get into next, and mebbe head them off at the pass.
Advantage parents? Longer stride, and more experience in the bizness of livin'.
Advantage palookas? More energy, more curiosity, and brains what have not been lugged down by years of cramming info into them day after day.
You think I'm kidding? Don't you know that a young'un gets half his growth before he ever sees kindergarten? Well, brains grow too, and if you think they keep growing in big folks, just think how stoopid you would look if you head was as big compared to your body as the helmet on that little palooka!
Besides there is this somthin' inside of you is kind of proud of the little munchkins when they figures out a way around the latest obstacle you put between them and whatever hazard drew their interest last. And there is this gift of love God put in your heart for the newest member of the family.
See, thats why so many new parents get more serious about church and eternity and stuff when the family starts to grow.
You want them to be at least as good as you- scratch that- you want them to be _better_ than you, and bigger, and smarter, and better looking, and more successful, and, and.
Oh you know what I mean. And I will never let them know some of the stuff I pulled until they are at least 32.
Hey, when did those twins figure out that if they headed in opposite directions, I could only chase one at a time? Sorry, gotta run, they just figured out the new safety latch.

I loved the word play on "parents" and "pair ents" and the message this conveyed.
Very creative!
