Where peace abides each day
Is refuge for a weary heart
Escaping from the fray
Blossoms soft and subtle
Sprinkled over arbor gate
Beckon all into the garden
Where worries shall abate
Dew sparked leaves of emerald
Resting under skies of blue
Proffer lacy verdant canopies
Where souls begin anew
Ripe fruit so sweet and heavy
Drawing down the curling vine
Waits upon the harvest
Made perfect for the wine
Bridge wanders over tiny pond
Where butterflies take flight
And lilies float on silver pool
As dragonflies alight
Fading into blue-gray mist
Winds a path of earth and stone
Song birds nestled in the bush
Sing songs in perfect tone
Deep within the garden
Lies a place of precious rest
Placed beneath the bower
For the soul’s relentless quest
The Father has perfected
This retreat for those who heed
An inner sanctuary
To answer every human need
His loving hands created
Beauty for the sight of man
For in a sinless garden
Is where all life began
