Is it the ability to breathe, in and out?
Is it the beating of a heart, thum-thump?
Is it the activity of a brain, controlling?
Life is more than physical functions.
What is life?
Is it the career you live, busy and full?
Is it the job you perform, day after day?
Is it the volunteer effort, helpful and kind?
Life is more than doing deeds.
What is life?
Is it the house you dream of, so big and spacious?
Is it the car you yearn for, so expensive and fast?
Is it the clothes you long for, so stylish and cute?
Life is more than material means.
What is life?
Is it recreation, active and energizing?
Is it relaxation, unhurried and calm?
Is it rejuvenation, youthful and vigorous?
Life is more than refreshing respite.
What is life?
Is it your friends, so loyal and fun?
Is it your spouse, so faithful and caring?
Is it your children, so precious and perfect?
Life is more than real relationships.
What is life?
Is it the church you attend, either large or small?
Is it the small group you joined, for nurture and learning?
Is it the ministry you do, giving time and energy?
Life is more than religious routine.
What is life?
Life is friendship with God, close and personal.
Life is relationship with Jesus Christ, forgiven and free.
Life is obedience to the Holy Spirit, willing and eager.
Life is simply enjoying God in everything that fills your day.
