Personal Peace
Was there ever a day when chaos and terror didn’t make the headlines in somebody’s life? I am sure that the first man ever, had a day or two of the” Perfect Paradise.” Since then though greed, envy and strife have had a role in every one of our lives. We know the promises we have from the word of God. Yet men are still trying to take from men. Parents are still consuming their children’s lives with abuse and neglect.
Friends and neighbors ask why do these evils happen and some times it is hard not to feel a bit guilty with out any answers. Guilty because we cannot explain why more good things don’t happen or that God isn’t doing His job quite as good as I think He should.
Evil hasn’t changed much in the last 6,000 years, is has only grown closer to us in each of our towns. It is hard not to be discouraged if we only look at what we can immediately see and touch. But we have a book of God’s portfolio, that gives us grace for today, and hope for tomorrow.
I still struggle with tragedies and worry about how I am going to pay the electric bill often. I don’t think we can get away from everyday life. It is hard to understand how to worship sometimes when we don’t see the Lord in the way we expect or can comprehend.
But I read my bible, and I spend time every day in prayer. I look at the stars at night and wonder how can they hold their formation for all these years. The sun rises everyday with only a few minutes difference at any time of the year, so orchestrated that we can have four seasons as a constant. The birth of a child although a miracle, it is also a gift from the Creator Himself.
Even though we are bombarded all day long from the media or the neighborhood gossip about all the bad that are happening in the world. We can actively seek out the good things that God intended for us to have and we can be fulfilled
Opening our eyes and opening our bible’s we have opportunities everyday to see that the God who loves us is with us. And He hasn’t asked for a whole lot in return, Romans 10:9-13 believe and confess.
So everyday I will continue to seek Him spiritually John 4:24 and in faith know that He cannot fail. It is as simple as that, I can forever have perfect peace.
