A Life of Purpose
“Without God, life makes no sense.”
Without God, I feel a deep emptiness within me.
I feel as though I’m in a barrel, no light but only darkness.
Silence alone is my companion.
Sometimes its full, sometimes its dry.
But still it is dark.
I feel open to fear, distrust and loneliness.
There may come time to time, as the lid is open, light shines through.
But it doesn’t really sink in.
It is still dark.
The light is but temporary.
Unless, something breaks that barrel,
Then and only then, can I experience and see the light.
That I am not alone in this world.
That there is a purpose hidden away from me.
Now it lies before my eyes, an arms length away from my grip.
I can feel the light taking place in my very soul, my very existence.
I am now embarking on a journey, breaking up all barrels beside me.
Giving hope to others that there is a hidden purpose and light out there.
That is given solely to each individual for each to understand,
In God’s given time.
