Each person God created, is a triune person. They have a mind, soul, and body.
The body is something we have to live on planet earth with each day.
It has needs that must be met daily, to keep it in physical shape.
If neglected it deterates at a much faster rate than normal.
The body will die eventually however, in finding out what it needs, and meeting those needs will help some live a more productive life.
In order to do that, the mind is needed.
Some of us have a greater capacity to use the knowledge put into that mind, to care for out body.
Doctors, nutritional specialist, and even scientist may have greater knowledge. With it, they probably have greater ability to know about how to care for their body.
Even if you have a great body, a superior mind and all of the material things you need to use, as an aid in this endeavor, there is still one part of you missing.
It is your willingness.
To be able to choose is one of the greatest gifts we have been given.
While you know a twenty-minute a day walk will help keep you healthy, the will to do may not be there.
Sitting, writing, reading, or watching TV may be the activity of your choice.

A green salad, some broiled chicken or fish may help keep pounds off. but our mind struggles with our willingness. Then there is a choice.
The willingness to reject that piece of chocolate cake, pizza, or a large helping of lasagna can be the hardest workout.
Becoming willing to make the right choice comes with a price.
While we have the will to choose, we do not have the choice of the result that choice brings.
Even when that choice is to believe or not to believe, about Jesus being the solution to eternity, the result is settled.
Only eternity will show us the results of that choice.
I personally am glad God gave me the will.
It would seem to be a cold-hearted God, who demanded our love, with out letting us choose.
To love and have a personal relationship with a God that created a robot with no ability to exert their will would not be a true picture of love. Nor would it show the power of perfection God has.
Thank God, according to His Word I willingly made the right choice.
To walk daily with that choice takes a new willingness each morning.

ůServe him with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;

My son loves to work out and takes it so seriously. It was as if I heard his lecture in this piece! You let the reader know we have choices, and it all takes some kind of discipline and we have to choose which course we take. I felt this had several themes running through it!
