Moving My Heart
The joy of the Lord fills my soul and moves my heart. I am a heart person; always have been and always will be. My heart is filled with love and concern for all. I am one of those people who look for the good in all persons and in all situations. My heart is filled with joy, but that does not mean that I am always happy.
Is happiness joy, is there a fine line between the two, or are joy and happiness two very distinct emotions? Can we find joy in our lives without being truly happy? As a Christian, I believe in the joy of grace. I believe in the joy of knowing that I have been saved by the love of Jesus Christ. He suffered and died for my sins, and for all the sins of the world. Because I believe in the grace that I have received through the death of Jesus Christ, I live in the joy of eternal life.
Happiness eludes me at times, but joy continues to move my heart. The joy of the Lord sustains me; He never fails me.
