TITLE: Jesus, I Am Your Exceeding Joy!
By Talittha Cornerstone

What great joy You have bestowed to me My Saviour, that I know one of the most treasured emotions the world can only dream to experience.

For years, I did not know the love of God in You. I did not know how precious I am that God Himself would come in exchange for me. I went to church but I did not know that You loved me with such a personal love- Jesus, You would have taken each blow even if it was for me alone so that by Your stripes I am healed. The parable of the pearl of great price tells me how precious I am to You. With outstretched arms the Father ran towards me while I was afar off. I did not even know I was so lost till I was found. Hallelujah!

You removed my sins and imputed to me Your righteousness the hour I first believed. When David said blessed is he whom the Lord does not impute sin, he was referring to me. Jesus, what joy fills my heart that by faith and not by my obedience or works do I have Your righteousness. Your word says if righteousness came by doing the works of the law then You died in vain. I am not condemned by God because of You. Hallelujah!

I thank You Heavenly Father when I keep my eyes on the spiritual things of Your kingdom, I have every reason to rejoice everyday of my life. You gave not an angel to die for me but Your only begotten Son. You punished my sins on Jesus at Calvary’s Cross. He was bruised for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities and the chastisement of my peace was upon Him. Jesus I love You because You first loved me. You came to give me life and life more abundantly. I am so blessed to be found. O, You are the good Shepherd and I am Your sheep. You were forsaken by the Father when my sins fell on You. I should be the one crying out “Eloi, Eloi lama sabachtani!” Instead, because of Your Sacrifice, my Father in heaven will never, never, leave me or forsake me ever! Hallelujah!

How wonderful it is to be in Your presence in the Holy of Holies since the curtain of the temple was torn! The Holy lamb of God was slain for me. I thank You and praise You! My Lord, my Saviour! You are the Son of David, You are the Messiah! I extol Your name, it is far above all names, I exalt and lift Your name on high, You alone are so worthy to be praised! What joy You give to me! What joy it is to obey the new commandment You gave! You have shown me the greatest form of love. You taught me always to abide in my Father’s love so I can love His children, for the greatest of all commandments is love. You thought of my joy even though You knew Your hour of crucifixion was near- how much You must have wanted Your joy to remain in me and for my joy to be full. In Your darkest hour, You let me know I have Your joy just as You have spoken. Selah.

As I sit at Your feet, as I drink of You, as I let You love me, as I recline on Your breast of love, as I boast of Your love for me and not my love for You, I shall see Your face. I shall understand Your heart towards me. I shall always have cause to rejoice despite my circumstances because You are my Rock and my Salvation, You are my Provider, my faithful Redeemer! By Your blood and by Your one sacrifice for sins forever, You are my High Priest who presents me faultless before the Father’s presence with exceeding joy! Jesus, You must have done a finished work on the cross! You must have washed me white as snow! You must have washed me white as snow! I will honour You by proclaiming I am Your exceeding joy! I am Your exceeding joy!
