How many times have you heard,"I LOVE YOU?" Then finding yourself jumping through hoops to see that it never changes.I really believe that the person who speaks those words actually mean them. Well, when you think about it, their mind think it's LOVE. To them , Love is: rude,impatient, taking scores of wrongs done, unforgiveness, and all about "Me". Oh yeah, they will promise you that they will always be there. OOPS. They forgot to give you ALL the conditions.
It took me awhile, but I finally came in contat with someone who truly loves me, unconditionally. There is nothing I can do that will separate his love from me. He is kind; he does not force himself into my life. He patiently waits for me to come to him. He refuses to make me a puppet; he's given me free choice. He is not sitting around counting the times he has called me, and I have ignored him. Nor does he sit and take score of every time I chose someone's advice over his. No, he is making intercession for me. When I stumble and fall, he is there to pick me up. Henever say, "I told You So". He forgives, cast my sins into the sea of forgetfulness never to remember them again. Giving me chance after chance.
I can trust him to keep his word. He will not lie. If he makes a promise, you can be assured that he will see it through. Also, I don't have to wonder if he will be there for me or not. Why? Because he has promised that he will never leave me nor forsake me. No matter what comes, he's there. When I am tempted, he makes a way for me to escape. If I choose not to accept his way, he want get angry and desert me. He waits. Think of the most horrible thing you have done. Now, think about the ones that said, "I Love You". Have you given it some thought? Good. Let me tell you; they are nowhere to be found.
Like me, you end up in the arms of the One that can see further than your eyes can, that know you more than you know yourself, and LOVES you greater than you or anyone else can, inspite of. This person that I have been boasting about is none other than Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Lord. BELIEVE IT; HE(is LOVE and)HE NEVER GIVES UP!!!
