What is Fulfillment?
Fulfillment. Hmmm. What exactly is fulfillment?
It’s really not such a hard word to transpire.
The dictionary says “a feeling of achievement
When you have accomplished a desire.”
What do you think fulfillment means?
Or should I say, what does it mean to you?
Is it the peaceful presence of the Holy Spirit
When tribulation and life’s heartaches pursue?
Fulfillment for me is more than just a feeling.
It’s having the love of Jesus inside my heart.
No matter what happens in this crazy world,
I belong to Him and He will never depart!
Fulfillment is seeing the beauty of a rainbow,
And knowing the reason why God put it there.
Or holding a precious new baby in your arms,
And asking God to protect her in your prayer.
Fulfillment is standing on top of a mountain,
And watching the sun come up over the sea.
See the colors of the sky, the beauty of creation.
Knowing He made all this for you and me!
Fulfillment is seeing a lost soul come to Christ
And then praising God’s name in a song.
For allowing you to be His own instrument,
To help and guide this new believer along.
Fulfillment is a blessing you receive from Him
From your obedience, your worship and praise.
You’ve learned to walk by faith, and not by sight,
Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you in His ways.
Fulfillment is the joy from the presence of the Lord
When two or more are gathered in His name.
There’s just nothing better than the very face of God
Shining down on His children like a flame.
Fulfillment is when you come to the end of your life,
You’ve served God and done your very best.
With no fear of death, you are ready to go home,
Knowing you will enter into the Lord’s rest.
