Welcome to Dinner

Come, please enter my home
I know how much you roam
Going from place to place
Sharing to all Your sweet grace

Please sit at the head of my table
While I put your colt in my stable
Allow me to wash Your dusty feet
Once You have taken your seat

It is such an honor to have You
I am not worthy of such blessings
May I anoint Your head with oil?
I pray that my soul is fertile soil

I am so glad that You could come
Here is all I have to offer, take some
A little fish and bread so small
But please, I beg You to take it all

Some may ask how you can have dinner
With a lowly tax collector and a sinner
I am thankful that it is the sick You call
And that You lift me up from my fall.

Thank you for forgoing Your fast
And taking the time to heal my past
I welcome You to come dine with us
Thank you for Your grace, Lord Jesus

I had a little trouble with the rhyme here and there, but I love how you approached the topic and expressed a sinner's invitation to the Lord so well. Thanks.
