Starting at the end…..
Starting at the end of hatred, where loathing was all I’d ever known ~ You knocked and asked if I’d give Your love a home.
Starting at the end of despair, where pain and loneliness were ever near ~ You sent angels to offer Your hope to me down here.
Starting at the end of rejection, where fear insisted I wasn’t worth much ~ You showed me nail-scarred hands that said, “my love is such”.
Starting at the end of dismay, where sadness filled each day with tears ~ You held me and said, “believe that I am always here”.
Starting at the end of darkness, where I tried my soul to hide ~ You took my hand and promised to walk at my side.
Starting at the end of life, where I thought I couldn’t live ~ You opened me completely and grace You did give.
Starting at the end of myself, when I had nowhere else to go ~ You said, “come and start anew my child…Father loves you so”.
