FADE IN:
INT - COMPLETELY DARK SOUND STAGE – SPOTLIGHT ON
A tall thin girl is centered in the spotlight singing.
GIRL
(singing)
I believe in Jesus.
The boys believe in Jesus.
The boys have named their dog Jesus.
Someone, someone please tell me why they can’t believe in my Jesus.
Her voice breaks as she bursts into tears. Then she notices the circle of light and begins slowly to break dance.
CUT TO:
INT - CLUTTERED BEDROOM - MORNING
A young man swings his legs and climbs out of bed emitting a small MOAN. His hair is a mess, his eyes are bloodshot, and he moves his mouth as if it is filled with a very bad taste. He heads for the adjoining bathroom.
INT - BATHROOM – MORNING – BRIGHT SUNLIGHT IN WINDOW
Our man moves to the sink, splashes water in his face, and looks in the mirror.
ON THE MIRROR
His bloodshot eyes squint against the bright sunlight and slowly widen to full wide open in surprise and horror.
Floating over his head as if attached somehow is a bright round circle of golden glowing light—a halo.
Our man jumps away and then slowly walks back into view in the mirror. Over his reflected image is the halo that’s still there.
MAN
(Softly in wonder and awe)
What have I done?
Oh, God, give me a break!
(pause a beat)
Please...

INT - HOME OFFICE – LATE NIGHT
The room is lit by a warm yellow desk lamp. The writer is hunched over his writer’s pad, sweat pouring off his brow, his pencil held tightly in a death grip in his hand.
He’s wearing a bright yellow golf shirt with Faithwriters.com embroidered in the shirt over his left breast. On the wall above his desk and computer is a large white dry marker board. Written in the center of the board in thick heavy black letters is the single word---BREAK.
The writer crumples the current page he’s working on and throws it into an overflowing waste basket.
MAN
(anguished cry)
Aghhhha
Voice Over from the other room
V.O.
Honey, are you okay?
Why don’t you take a break?
MAN
(Louder anguished cry)
Aghhhhhhhhha

CUT TO:
EXT - SPACE – VIEW OF PLANET EARTH FROM SPACE
The screen is filled with the image of the sunlit beautiful blue globe of Earth rotating slowly in space.

I gave you my Son.

I would have liked it though if you connected the 'take a break' with taking a break with Jesus or in Jesus. This piece is not exactly what I would say 'connected'.
You might need a few edits.
