“WE INTERRUPT YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING FOR BREAKING NEWS!”

“This is Annika, daughter of Arable, reporting to you live from the site of ‘Noah’s Ark’. It appears that the door to the ark has just been closed. According to eyewitnesses no human was involved. There has been a lot of activity in this past week. Animals of every size and shape have come to this place. Creatures that we have never seen before, made an appearance and walked right into the strangely shaped ark. And all of the animals are getting along, they’re not eating each other, perhaps the end of the world HAS come!”

“We first brought you this bizarre story about 100 years ago. Since that time we have kept tabs on what this, as towns folk call, ‘lunatic’ has been up to. Here is an interview with Noah himself just after construction began.”

“My God told me to built this ark. He is going to destroy the earth. All living things will die! Repent of your sins and be saved!!!”

“This story of ‘God destroying the earth’ has continued to be his main message to anyone that will listen. We have with us now a neighbor of Noah. Can you tell us your name and what it has been like to live next door to the Noah family?”

“Yes, my name is Isis, daughter of Cerlah, and it has been just horrible to live next to this family. First, they are constantly telling me the world will be destroyed, and then they tell me to repent of my sins. There ain’t nothin’ wrong with me, I do as I please, I live just like everyone else. If I see something I want, I take it, that’s how it’s always been and that’s how it’ll always be. And don’t even get me started about the noise, all hours of the day, pound, pound, pound, it makes it hard to sleep after being up all night partying! And now that the animals are here, the smell is more than I can handle. I was just getting ready to go over there and ‘take care’ of that family, you know, get rid of my problem, but as I was going over, the door closed. Luckily for them!”

“Thank you Isis, I can tell it’s not been an easy century for you. We also have with us here on the scene, one of Noah’s brothers, he has asked that we keep his identity a secret, he does not want to be associated with Noah in any way. Sir, can you tell us about your brother?’’

“Yea, I’ll tell you about my brother. He’s insane! He’s always been a little out there, if you know what I mean. But when he started his preachin’, I just rolled my eyes and walked away. And that boat! He’s building a thing that floats in the water, do YOU see any water around here? I don’t! He’s crazy that’s all! And to drag those boys into it, now that’s just not right! He’s gone way off the deep end! He’s as crazy as a monkey in handcuffs!”

“Thank you for your insight, sir. And now we will turn to... what is happening? The earth is shaking and there is water under my feet. Light is flashing in the sky! And water is falling from the sky! What’s going on? The water is getting higher! I’m heading to the mountains! Let’s get out of here!!!”

Nicely done. I would love to actually see somebody "… as crazy as a monkey in handcuffs!"
The BEEEEEEP was the station going off the air? Congratulations.

Well done! Good humor, yet the message came across - God keeps His promises.

Nice use of comedic timing and cleverly written. I love reading the Bible stories told in a new light. Great job, I think this will win.
