Here we go again Lord. Each day is beginning to meld into the past day. I really need to take a break and spend time with You.
As each day progresses and I encounter challenges, I try to take every thought captive as Your Word has told me to. Lord, do You have any idea how many thoughts I have in one day? Of course You do, that was a silly question to ask of You.
I start each morning in prayer with You, asking for You to go before me each step and lead me down the paths You have chosen for me this day. As I follow, something always seems to break into my following and tears me away from Your chosen path. I struggle to come back to You. I try to push the distractions of the world from my mind.
I take a stolen moment to seek Your guidance. Asking You to relieve me of the days burdens. I feel Your peace. I head back into my day and before long, I know I need to come back to You. I feel like I am a yo-yo. Do You have a hold of the string? Of course You do, You have promised to always have a grip on me. What am I lacking Lord? Why do I find myself so out of sorts?
Ah, yes that’s it Lord. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Your Words are so affirming, so true. I have to not only pray and ask You for guidance, I have to believe that I will have it. I have to reach out and take a hold of Your hand. This is not a one way relationship. I have to be a willing and believing member.
Lord, when I become overwhelmed and forget again, have patience with me. Send someone into my day that will remind me where I need to be. Each day Lord, help me to become stronger in my beliefs and know that You will provide the strength I need to face each day and live in victory with You.
I love You Lord. Thanks for listening to me today.
